As we know, our wonderful musician Paul Buono graduated from law school this past June and is relocating to pursue a career in the music business. Sad though it is to say goodbye to Paul, it is now time to look to the future of our music ministry program.

At it’s meeting on Wednesday, August 12, Church Council agreed on the job description you see below and also agreed that our music ministry program would go through a period of discernment during the upcoming fall months. During this period of discernment we will invite a number of musicians to play for our Sunday worship services. This is the process we went through in the early months of 2007 and it brought us Paul. Each musician has different gifts. A period of discernment allows us to discover these gifts and for both us and the musician to decide if the church and the musician are a good match—based on an opportunity to experience the job description and job requirements in real time.
