Auditions & Placement

 
You can audition to join the Virginia Children's Chorus!! Auditions for the Chorus are held in January, June and August. The next auditions are scheduled for Saturday, August 29, Monday, August 31 and Tuesday, September 1, 2009. Singers ages six through high school are invited to audition. Since auditions are by appointment only, it is advisable to call the VCC office at 440-9100 well ahead of the audition dates to schedule your individual time.

Please call the VCC Chorus Manager to receive an audition brochure which explains the audition requirements at each age level.

Each audition is private and lasts approximately 20 minutes. Casual, but neat dress is appropriate. It is best to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled audition time. Choir placement is based on the audition.

Candidates are notified of their acceptance into the chorus immediately after the audition. Accepted students will be measured for uniforms and parents will meet with out Executive Director immediately following the audition. Please be prepared to pay the $45.00 registration fee at this time. Scholarship assistance may be available; applications available at auditions or by calling the VCC office in advance.
