Hancock House

Directions:

1 From I-295, take exit 1C for Hook Road (county route 551).
2 Follow Hook Road about 4 miles to a T-junction at route 49.
3 Turn left (east) onto 49, which becomes Broadway as you approach Salem (about 3 miles). You'll pass a marina, go over a bridge, then follow the road to the right.
4 At the first traffic light, turn left to stay on Broadway.
5 After 1 mile, turn right onto Yorke Street (you'll see a small sign for the Hancock House). This road becomes Salem-Hancock's Bridge Road (county route 658).
6 In about four miles, you'll cross the modern Hancock's Bridge, and the Hancock House is on your right.
7 Take the second right after the bridge (onto New Street) and pull into the small unloading area on your right. You'll soon need to move your car around the block to the parking lot next to the bridge. If you have nothing significant to unload, take the first right after the bridge and park in the lot on your right.
