When I was in college, I learned that I had a passion for writing. But it wasn't until decades later
that I finally found the time to follow this dream. As it turns out, there was a narrative poet and story teller imprisoned
somewhere inside me, who has made a daring escape and is now inflicting his writing on an unsuspecting public. Yes,
that handsome devil on the right is the culprit.
I’ve been surprised and gratified by the positive response to my writing by audiences, poetry contest judges,
and editors of numerous publications. Because
my works are scattered in numerous literary journals, magazines, and anthologies, I've created this site. It includes most of my published poetry and prose. I wish to thank
the editors of the publications in which my works first appeared.

Because talk is cheap (especially poetry) and it takes money to buy good
whiskey, I've completed my first book of poetry, which I hope to have published in the near future. My novel in progress was
awarded
a 2008 Helen McCloy Scholarship by the Mystery Writers of America, and my goal is to
complete it in 2009.
