Robert Van Pelt and Judy Gibson started Bread & Circus working out of their Manhattan apartment kitchen. Twenty-two years later, our kitchen resides in the historic Fabri Mansion on the upper east side of Manhattan, where Chef Robert Van Pelt works as the Food and Beverage Manager for The House of the Redeemer. This splendid and unique mansion also serves as the perfect venue for any event. Chef Robert Van Pelt spent the first part of his career as both chef and restaurateur in California, acquiring extensive experience in managing restaurant operations and menu creations. Today, combining the influence of a California post-modern culinary attitude with his New York cuisine creations, Bob composes signature dishes and theme menus that offer clients a delicious marriage of American, continental, and ethnic cuisine. |
