Basic Bread Machine Bread

A simple, basic bread machine recipe. This recipe can be easily varied to suit your family's preferences.

Place in bread machine pan in order:

Process on regular or timed cycle. For quick cycle, increase yeast to 2 tsp. NOTES:
  1. Any combination of flours can be used, replacing up to half of the flour (1 1/2 cups) with a whole grain flour. For EACH CUP of whole grain flour used, add 1 tablespoon of vital wheat gluten to the mix.
  2. May be used to make pizza dough, calzones, "Sin"-amon rolls or dinner rolls. Remove dough at the end of the first kneading/rise cycle and finish by hand.
  3. Cinnamon raising bread: Add 1/4 cup raisins and 2 tsp ground cinnamon to the bread pan before baking.
