Trim fat off of roast. Put potatoes and carrots in the bottom of the crockpot. Add beef roast. Spread onions evenly over top of beef. Sprinkle soup mix or boullion over all. Pour wine over top. Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours.
SUGGESTIONS:
Prepare the night before and assemble as directed. Place in refrigerator. In the morning, remove from fridge, place on counter to warm slightly (10-15 minutes) before putting in crockpot base and turning on the power.
Makes a great "new mom" meal, and one that they can serve at the most convenient time for their family (not dependent on YOU getting the food there on time.)
