We have a Valentine's Day tradition in our home that our children look forward to each year. Some of you may do something similar, but a friend suggested I share it here on our family website. On our dining room table, we place a small potted plant or wire "tree form". For each day of the first fourteen days of February, we decorate the tree with small heart-shaped ornaments, adding one per day. Each ornament has a portion of First Corinthians 13:4-8a on it. That scripture portion is our focus for the day as a family. February is not an easy month for us. During this month, both my husband and I lost our dads (two separate years, but within 3 days!) Even though we grieve, it is not without hope or the promise of heaven, to roughly paraphrase Paul in Thessalonians. So, working with intent on our family's relationships is a positive way to honor our dads' memories. The daily Scripture chart we use is available in plain text or Microsoft Word. It is my prayer this will encourage you as you "cement" your family together in the love of God and time in His Word. From our home to yours...
