Precognition Experimentsby Vincent Paradis
OTB
In New York City there are Off Track Betting parlors known as OTB's.
A person can place a bet on any horse race that will be occurring at the different race tracks.
Since I was experimenting with telepathy and learning about how it works, I decided one day to do an ESP experiment, an experiment that involves mentally obtaining and perceiving info about an event that will later, in the future, occur.
To do this experiment, I assumed that at the present moment in time, psi info, traces of info about the future, and of the past, exist with the info being generated by the present time occurring events, and that my mind can psychically sense and perceive particular psi info I would want to know.
The handiness of the OTB parlors made it possible to do some real-life experiments whose proof of success would be the fact that the winning horse(s) were played. The OTB experiments were also good because no one can say that I somehow cheated.
One morning, having some time to do an experiment, I looked in the sports section of the newspaper and picked one race at random.
I looked over the names, numbers, and info about the different horses running.
I then got into the recliner and proceeded to relax, deeper, and deeper I relaxed.
In a short time, I was not thinking about anything in particular and I entered into unconsciousness, everything sort of went into blank, black.
I suppose it was soon after, a dream occurred.
I saw coming out of the darkness a flamenco dancer, stomping her feet, swaying her long big white and red skirt, and clicking her castanets. At that moment I started to awaken. The last scene I saw before I awoke from my relaxed condition was a bright red rose in her long black hair.
I then picked up the sport's section and looked at the selected race for a horse's name that has a related meaning, in the race there was a horse named Spanish Dancer.
At lunch with friends, I told them about the experiment I did that morning and that I was going to place a bet. My two friends have never placed a bet on a horse race nevertheless they decided they would also like to place a bet on Spanish Dancer.
Spanish Dancer won the race.
Inspired by such success, I decided to do another experiment.
This time, a triple race, picking the first three horses that will win the race.
With a triple bet, the odds on winning and the payoff are much greater.
A week later, having a free day, I selected a race that was to occur at night.
I followed the same procedure as above mentioned and nothing happened, no perceptions occurred.
After doing several sessions at different times throughout the day and having nothing come to mind, I decided to quit experimenting, take a guess, go to the OTB, and place a bet. Maybe I have sensed the info, even though perception of it did not occur, and subconsciously I would pick and play the winning horses.
At the OTB parlor there were long lines so I decided to just to relax, take it easy, and be patient.
While waiting in line just casually looking around and thinking of nothing in particular, I heard a loud and clear voice in my head say one word, BAD.
It startled me. After thinking about it, numerically BAD translates to 214.
I decided to changed my bet from what I have previously selected and placed a bet on 214. It won.
Comments and Analyses
The Spanish Dancer experiment was a good experiment.
The psi info came to mind in a visual, literal, and obvious form, a Spanish flamenco dancer.
The BAD, a triple target, experiment was also a good experiment and most interesting.
The psi info come to mind in audio form, I heard a voice. It got my attention since I normally do not hear mentally such a loud voice.
And, the psi info came to mind in an abstract associative form, that is, it did not come to mind in a literal clear form like the Spanish Dancer.
I had to extract the meaning of what came to mind, the word BAD.
Another interesting aspect of the BAD experiment was that the info did not come to mind during the several deep relaxation sessions I have done in a secluded quiet environ, the best of conditions for a psychic perception to occur. The info came to mind later while I was in an awake state and in a public environ, the OTB parlor which was brightly light, noisy, smoky, and where lots of people were milling around.
I would say that while I was standing in the line, at the time I heard in a loud voice the word BAD, I was mentally idling, not thinking much about anything.
From these and a few other experiments, it appears that the mental state you are in at a particular time is more important that the environ you are in in determining whether psi info is sensed and perceived.
Perception of psi info can happen when you are relaxing (Spanish Dancer), in the awake state when you mentally idle (BAD), and in dreams when you are asleep, at just about anytime when the mind relaxes even for a short while.
But, I know of no way to predetermine when psi info will manifest, for instance, with the BAD experiment, psi perception occurred at the OTB parlor and not when I was home doing relaxation sessions coaxing a psi perception.
Also, in some experiments no perception occurred even though repeated experiments were done to the best of one's ability, at the time.
Besides not knowing beforehand when psi info will be perceived, if at all, you also do not know how, in what form, and strength the perception will manifest.
Psi info may be perceived visually, audibly, or as a felt feeling, and the strength of perception can be just a fleeting thought or a story, faint or colorful, a whisper or loud voice, partially or complete, etc.
And to top it all, if too many experiments are done, a refractory condition can occur.
I avoid refractory conditions by keeping down the number of experiments that I do. If I get to the point where I seem to be unable to sense and perceive psi info, I do not do any psychic experiments for while.
