Reading Through the Bible in Four Years

I have read through the New Testament twice but not through the entire Bible, and I have been wanting to do so for quite some time now.  However, reading through the Bible in a year overwhelmed me, so I looked around for a more extended schedule.  Vernon McGee has a five-year sermon series, but it didn't seem to be quite what I was looking for.  I found a couple of four-year studies, but they didn't seem complete.  Then I found a complete four year study at Christ Community Church (St. Charles, IL), which  "will take you through the Old Testament once and through the New Testament and Proverbs twice during a four year span. There are five days’ worth of reading every week.".   Perfect!  So, my plan is to follow their schedule beginning June 2009.  I decided to start in June instead of January so that the schedule will line up with the school year.

From the schedule introduction, "When reading in the Old Testament ..., it is assumed that you will cover two chapters per day. If there are an odd number of chapters in a book, read the last chapter by itself on its day ... When you come to a New Testament book or Proverbs, slow your reading down to one chapter per day. "
