DOCTOR SANDY
Sandy Lynn Scott marched across the platform on Friday evening to be hooded by two of her
professors with the symbol of her accomplishment--A Master's of Science degree in Counseling Psychology.
Her recent work as a therapist with men who most of us have written off because of their atrocious
decisions which have left their families torn and broken is a reflection of just who this woman is and what she has to
offer to all of us. I am looking forward to the day she hangs her shingle, and I know her phone will not stop ringing.
You know, all of us who are in the "people business" never stop struggling with knowing
how much to give and when to hold back just a little for ourselves. Because we are givers, we will be forever vulnerable
to the pains of disappointment, of being used, sometimes even being broke!
But none of it stops the drive inside of us to keep on giving. As therapists, we often
encourage our clients to set limits and we talk endlessly about codependency, but maybe there is an energy in one's incessant
giving that also keeps us going after our dreams. What do you think? Wouldn't that be the irony of ironies?
And on a more congratulatory note, CONGRATULATIONS, Sandy. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY DAY!
And as you embark on the next part of your journey (Sandy is going on for her doctorate), let me just start calling you Doctor
now! Doctor Sandy! Doesn't that sound absolutely MAWVELOUS? I THINK SO. CONGRATULATIONS!

Scott is the GENTLEman on the left. You can tell how much we love each other!

The music, Clair De Lune, is from the CD Debussy/Ravel Piano Works.
It is a Classical Gallery CD produced by Platinum Disc Corporation, P. O. Box
2798, La Crosse, Wisconsin 94602
This is one of my favorite piano pieces from the many concerts I attended as a little
kid right there in my own living room--listening to Mom play.
See blog for March 10.

Ian on his favorite morning--CHRISTMAS--with his favorite animal--ANGEL! See Blog for August 23.

My Birthday buddy, Glenn, getting into WILDFIRE!

Maynard on his 92nd birthday, contemplating kicking my butt in cribbage!
