In a nutshell: Reality check. Roadracing is many things, and most of all it is a game of extremes. That means
great highs and, well, not-so-great lows! :p
Unfortunately, this report isn't going to take too long. Thats because it didnt take us to long to pile the bike
into a berm on the inside of Streets back straight.
Feeling pretty good through practice, we were looking forward to another strong qualifying result for our second outing
with the GPRU guys. Unfortunately, Vince got a little too hasty with the throttle exiting Streets' banked bowl that
leads onto the back straight. Coming out of the bowl, the TZ spun up the rear wheel, which stepped way out and shot
Vince out of the seat. Not one to give up easily, the rider made a valient, but fruitless, attempt to hang on to the
bars and dragged alongside for a moment before relinquishing control to fate. The TZ stayed upright and plowed full
bore off to the right side of the track while rider did his best tumbling dance down the left side of the track.
Diagnosis, one banged up but uninjured rider; one seriously unhappy and unrideable TZ250! The race now begins to
get the bike back together for next month....
