The End of Racism

It is certainly a dark day when the country has elected a socialist to the White House.  Most of it seemed to be fueled by young, first time Kool-Aid drinkers.  One could say that these are merely kids and most kids are liberal.  When they become true adults, they'll change.  The problem is that by the time they start to think straight, a new set of sniveling brats will take over, fueled by ACORN or the next set of liberal criminals.  There is much to fear in this presidency, and it has all been laid before us.  Some simply chose not to see.
So through all of this, I needed to seek solace in some small victory for the good guys, and I see it as this.  Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Reverend Wright, and all the others who have been whining about racism their entire lives can now shut their darn pie holes.  Racism has come to an end in our country, (white on black racism, that is for the reverse is still prevalent--see above list).  It has to have ended.  If blacks make up approximately 13% of the populace, and BHO won so handily, did not most of his support come from the whities?  So, this should officially end it; no more disenfranchisement cries, no more job discrimination lies, no need for affirmitive action.  It's over.  This is the victory we must take to balance the fact that our freedom ends in 76 days.

  • All during the election, the liberals claimed that using Barry's middle name was racist.  Today, in their election announcement, the New York Times said that Barack Hussein Obama has won the presidency.  I guess it is okay now since he is in.
  • I wonder if the Black Panthers who were strong arming voters in Philadelphia will be hired by Barry for his new civilian army a.k.a. Hitler Youth.
  • Obama has already said that it may take two terms to get all of his stuff done.  Gee, God made the whole world in seven days.
  • Hold your heads up, conservatives, and join me in the continued fight against the disease of liberalism.  We will win the war someday.

Power to the People

One thing people in this country should never forget is that the politicians in charge are accountable to us.  This means that they need to be accessible to our questions.  True, there are secrets that must be kept for national security purposes, but questions of domestic, economic and philosophical subjects should never be ignored.  Joe, the gaffe machine, Biden couldn't handle a few tough questions from an anchor woman at a local station in Florida, so the campaign informed the station that they will likely not grant any further interviews due to the nature of the inquiries.  They also canceled Michelle "My Belle" Obama's interview with the same station.
Now I understand that slick Joe is not used to any questions that don't ask, "Oh Joe, how are you and Barry Hussein going to save the world?" but for a man who is likely to become our VP to act in such a childish manner as to get hot under the collar and ask the journalist who was writing her questions is unnacceptable.  Can you picture future press conferences with only CNN and MSNBC lobbing love notes at the administration.  How will this pair deal with diplomacy?  "I'm sorry Mr. dictator with your finger on the button, we don't like what you said so we are going home."  This is a serious situation.  It is just one more example of why this country has to come to its senses and realize that BHO is extremely dangerous and definitely not ready to lead our great nation.

Drinking it all in!!

It has been a while since my last post.  Frankly, I have not had the desire to write.  I feel like we have been in a quagmire.  Neither candidate for president has said anything new of substance, although McCain did much better in the final debate.  I do think that people are beginning to see BHO for who he really is.  The only question is, "Is it too late?"  The polls are nonsense, ranging from one point up to thirteen.  The best news out there is that BHO seems to be coasting while McCain is stepping on the gas.  I just truly believe that a lot of American voters have their minds set to vote against George Bush.  We are in a time when the radical ideas of Obama can cause such a downfall in our country, we may never recover.  Every economic expert will tell you that the worst time to raise taxes is during a poor economy.  And that is where we are.  You can debate whose fault it is.  There is plenty to go around, but that is not productive.  We need some common sense.
The BHO supporters need to realize that all of the promises, especially universal health care, is impossible at this juncture due to the financial situation.  People need jobs.  The private sector provides them.  BHO wants to increase taxes on these wage providers.  This is an undeniable fact.  One of his surrogates on Fox News admitted that the Obama plan raises taxes on those with GROSS receipts of $250,000 not those making a profit of the same amount.  This is nearly every small business out there!!  This will have a dual effect--raise prices, and layoff workers.
Joe the gaffe machine Biden showed his extreme optimism by saying that the world will test the USA under BHO and pleaded not to hate their administration when it happens.  All of the left wing attack forces that have accused Sarah Palin of being stupid ought to reassess the definition.  The man can't even count to four.
Paul Kanjorski, in a rally in Hazelton, said that McCain is probably going to die in office because of his bouts with cancer, yet Biden won't allow his brain scans to surface that he had taken since his aneurism.  Could it be because there would be a big, blank space on the scan?
The bottom line is that voters must decide if they support:
1. High taxes
2.  A grossly increase welfare state
3.  The redistribution of wealth
4.  A commander-in-chief who has terroristic ties
5.  A president with next to no experience
6.  The fairness doctrine
7.  More government control of every aspect of your lives
8.  Every variety of abortion known to man at record quantities
9.  The open assault on religion.
10. The great USA floundering in mediocrity.

Vote McCain/Palin--You know it's the right thing.

Keith Olbermann vs. Rush Limbaugh

Each and every single day in our beloved United States, we can see examples of the double standard that exists in the media.  Keith Olbermann is a shining example of the fact that as long as your comments are liberal, you can get away with it.  Hearken back to the days when Rush Limbaugh was hired as a commentator for ESPN.  His job was supposed to be to comment on the side of sports that are beyond the playing field, and yes, to put things in a political perspective on occasion.  His downfall came when he said that the media had inflated the skills of Donovan McNabb in a desperate attempt to have a black quarterback succeed in the NFL, a position formerly chock full of white players.  There had been the exceptions like Warren Moon and Doug Williams, and Steve McNair but there were nowhere near the amount of black quarterbacks as there are today.  Rush's comments were immediately tagged with the "racist" label.  Few sought to understand the fact that he never said anything disparaging about black quarterbacks but that he was pointing out a conspiracy in the media, thereby exposing the racially motivated agenda of the leftists therein.  ESPN summarily dismissed Rush.
Fast forward to this NFL season.  Keith Olbermann, who started out in sports, and ended up in the most liberal media outlet, (and most ignored), MSNBC.  Keith has been a poster child for scathing, liberal hate during his tenure at the network.  Now he has landed at NBC as a commentator in a limited and pointless capacity.  Last week, as the highlights of the games crossed the screen, he made a comment more egregious and obviously biased than Rush's.  In a spot that showed Buffalo Bills quarterback Trent Edwards being sacked and suffering a concussion, Olbermann injected that Edwards must have been saying "I can see Russia from here!"  This was a clear jab at Sarah Palin straight from "Saturday Night Live."  He  equated Edwards' scrambled brains with that of the Alaskan governor.  Keep in mind that Keith's job is sports-oriented only, whereas Rush's was supposed to be issue-oriented.  Has Olbermann been fired?  No.  Will he?  I think that one answers itself.

Why Not Mail in the Answers?

Last night's debate proved that the entire system is in total chaos.  The debate format was supposed to be a "town hall" style.  However, Tom Brokaw selected the questions, choosing those that could have been easily written by middle school students.  Most of them were of the "What can I get?" ilk.  This is analogus to the style of government that will be offered under Barry Hussein Obama.  It may have the images and facades of democracy, but like that wizard behind the curtain, someone will be pulling the switches and controlling the path of what will be "a once great country."
Under Obama, we can hearken back to the age of the Roman Empire where the concept of Bread and Circuses kept the people in line.  We have already seen the young children singing praise to Obama on video.  We have seen the Obama youth groups chanting about how, because of Barack, they can actually become a lawyer, or doctor, or whatever they choose.  You mean those were not options before the mighty BHO arrived?  Is this not repulsively similar to the Hitler Youth?  Are you ready for the government to tell you how much to charge for a product in your business?  Are you ready for the government to tell you which operation you can have and what treatment is valid for you?  The government already runs health care in the Verteran's Administration hospitals.  Have you experienced the care?  It is horrendously inefficient!  Now a new government agency is going to run health care for everyone?  Who is going to pay for this?
Check your pay stubs.  Are there already too many areas of deduction?  Wait until your check is parceled out into the services that BHO deems as being important.  There will be the regular deductions plus a universal health care deduction, plus a green (global warming) deduction, plus deductions for sex education, gay rights awareness programs, reparations for slavery, etc.  Does it sound farfetched?  It's not.  They will all be disguised under names that our future socialist government will concoct.
McCain had his chance last night and he blew it.  If he had attacked, brought out more of the truths about the socialist sitting next to him, he would possibly have a chance.  Republicans should not throw in the towel even though it looks bleak.  Keep hammering away at relatives, colleagues and friends.  Pull that curtain back so everyone can see that the wizard isn't so wonderful after all.

  • The media is hoping that the more futile they paint McCain's chances that many will choose not to vote.
  • Obama has been involved in these groups like ACORN which are registering low income people, blacks, and college students while promising the world in exchange.  This is wrought with fraud.
  • They caught the little puke who hacked into Palin's personal e-mail and Eureka!! he is the son of an Illinois Democrat.  Isn't that the community organizer's state?
  • The connection between Obama and the terrorist Ayers keeps being proven to be more and more intimate by the minute, yet many do not care.  Did you ever think that we would elect a person in league with a man who bombed American soil?

Palin's Definition of the American Dream

Sarah Palin did America proud last night.  She took to the stage and after a little nervousness, delivered a courageous, substantive, and determined message.  Of course both sides have claimed victory.  That is always the case.  But she did something in a manner that may have been lost on a lot of viewers.  She reminded the American people what the American Dream entails and what are its misconceptions.
The American Dream does involve a good job, a comfortable home, a family, etc.  The difference between the traditional view of it and the distortion of the modern view was brought to light by a woman who has lived it.  The American Dream does not guarantee anything.  It does not provide anything.  It merely rewards hard work and determination.  It is time to stop looking to government to solve your problems.  If a hurricane is coming, seek refuge.  Don't wait around and then complain that the government didn't come within your demand of twenty-four hours.  If you need a job, find one.  If you needs skills for that job, obtain them.  If you need a home, put yourself in the position to afford one.  The crux of the housing/financial crisis is highly due to the fact that the democrats wanted to grant that American Dream to everyone, like a band of merry men and women riding a parade float and tossing candy to the minions.  The incentive to achieve in our country has been thoroughly suppressed.  Sarah Palin, with the words "personal responsibility" reminded a nation that not only should accountability be a hallmark of any efficient government, but also a mainstay for every citizen.
In contrast, Joe Biden continued to press the message that only he, along with Barry Hussein Obama can grant that American Dream to you.  It cannot be achieved without them.  It is the same message democrats have pulled out every four years to shore up the vote.  The American people need to realize that the government is not the provider, the nurturer, the parent as the left tries to state.  With their way of thinking, the American Dream will stay but a dream, as the blaring of the alarm grows steadily louder.

  • Biden, like BHO, showed himself to be so intolerant of Palin with all of his smirks and gestures.
  • Palin put the moderator in her place early by telling her that she would not tailor her answers to fit her or Biden's expectations.
  • Sean Hannity thoroughly mopped up the floor with some liberal congresswoman after the debate.

Looking Forward, Looking Back

Friday night's debate showed a stark contrast in the way that Democrats and Republicans approach things.  John McCain used his time to look forward at the future America he envisions and will build, while Barry Hussein Obama did little more than dwell in the past and invoke the Bush administration's perceived failures in a futile attempt to attach them to McCain.  In typical leftist fashion, the pundits tried afterward to accuse McCain of living in the past in order to deflect Barry's lack of vision.  However, there is a fundamental difference in pointing out your strong record in the senate to taking pot shots at the outgoing administration.  If BHO had merely focused on his past accomplishments when looking back, there would be no criticism here, but therin lies the illegitimacy of his candidacy.  Barry has no past to speak of.  He went from community trouble maker, to state representative, to U.S. Senator where he practically pioneered the vote of "present."  That's quite a record.  Fifty-four yeas, forty-five nays, and Barry Hussein voting, "present."
Throughout the debate, McCain referred to his opponent as Senator Obama, yet Obama kept calling his opponent, John, John, John.  This attempt at establishing superiority was so childish that it showed the character of this pretender of a candidate.  Additionally, BHO teetered on the verge of a full blown tirade several times while McCain pointed out some of Obama's misunderstandings of the issues.  This undoubtedley was a goal of McCain's--get under the skin of Barry and watch him explode.  He came very close.  He smirked, pursed his lips, shook his head, and showed his arrogance and air of superiority.  If a simple debate raises this man's temper so much, what will he be like when he has his planned coffee clatch with Achmedinijad? (and if I spelled this tyrant's name wrong, I don't care).
The critics on both sides have claimed victory as always, though it seems clear that McCain was the clear victor.  Nevertheless, even if Barry slighty edged him out, it is an empty victory, for the next debate is going to be a town hall style, and without pre-arranged speeches, Barry Hussein is a wobbling weeble that will fall down.

Colorado's Unfair and Unbalanced Professor
Talk to any liberal and they will espouse the so-called "separation of church and state" for any issue they see as pro-religion.  Anyone who can read the constitution understands that the only restriction is in enforcing an official religion, not in recognizing religion.  Simply put, the government can be involved to a degree in Christmas, Easter, Yom Kippur, Ramadan, etc.  A similar situation exists in the school system.  There is nothing wrong with discussing religion, or celebrating holidays, yet we have seen the all-out assault on Christmas in recent years by the liberals, and to a greater extent, the liberal atheists.  To extend this concept one step further, the arena of politics is not taboo in the classroom.  It can be discussed, evaluated, critiqued. However, it crosses the line when a teacher allows only one side of an issue.  I will go so far as to say that a teacher can even voice his or her political views so long as they are not delivered in a way so as to influence unfairly, a student's understanding of the issue.  As long as a teacher qualifies his opinions with stating that they are his, and not a matter of fact, he has not crossed the line.
At the college level, where free thought should be encouraged, and healthy debate emphasized, unbalanced bias can be most damaging.  A Colorado professor has crossed the line of offering an opinion, and embarked on the path of forcing his ideology upon his students while disallowing dissent.  He assigned an essay to freshmen students to write a negative critique about Sarah Palin.  He did not assign a critique, he assigned a negative critique.  He has crossed the line. If this were an isolated incident, it could be classified in the "lunatic fringe" file, but the fact is that it is happening more and more on campuses throughout our nation.  Try and voice a conservative opinion at many colleges and universities and you will find yourself ostracized.
College is a time when one develops ideology, when one formulates political views.  Yet these views often change when one gets older.  Why?  Because young, impressionable minds are geared toward emotion over logic-- a prime reason why this professor's assignment is so dangerous.  Colleges are already filled with liberalism.  Teachers like this keep tipping the scales in order to force their agenda.  Winston Churchill said, "If you are not a liberal by the time you are eighteen, you have no heart, but if you are not a conservative by the time you are thirty, you have no brain."  His words ring true.  If it is a mere case or human nature at hand, it certainly does not need a human hand to nurture it.

  • It is disgusting how Joe Biden has suddenly found Scranton again in order to shore up votes.  I'm surprised he remembered where it was.
  • Sarah Palin has a great sense of humor and is not afraid to laugh at herself  (Saturday Night Live).
  • Front page of the CV had a picture of this amphitheater construction by the river-- a terrible waste of taxpayer money, Kanjorski Style!!!
  • Speaking of Kanjo, I think he is preparing for a royal ass-whooping from Mayor Lou.

McCarthy May Have Been Right!!
For years we were inundated with the notion that McCarthyism was this dark, sinister time in American History.  The senator believed that there were communists in Hollywood.  Well, that sure sounds accurate in today's film industry and much of entertainment as a whole.  Perhaps he was on to something.  Now I do not believe that all of Hollywood is communistic, but a vast majority is leftist which borders on the former.  There are few actors whose movies are watchable without a stomach pump to relieve the nausea from the thought of their socialist agendas.  Let us take a look at the list.

1.Barbara BS Streisand--hypocrite who scorns conservatists while charging a month's salary to attend one of her concerts.  Meanwhile, her mother lives in abject poverty.
2.  Sean Penn--believes Bush exploded the towers, loves Hugo Chavez.
3.  Harry Belefonte-- Chavez lover
4.  Danny Glover-- mega-Chavez lover.
5.  Baldwin (who cares which one) --said he would move to Canada if Bush won in 2004.
6.  Susan Sarandon & Tim Robbins--always in the news tearing down the administration and spewing lies.
7.  The Dixie Chicks--went to a foreign country to badmouth America.
8.  Matt Damon--a recent addition to the list.  He recently ridiculed Sarah Palin for her religious beliefs.  This is typical leftist.  They cite the first amendment for everything from teaching kindergarten children to put a condom on a cucumber to trying to control elections by making up stories in the New York Times or on CBS when Dan Rather was there.  Yet, Governor Palin's right to freedom of religion, (1st amendment also) is attacked.
10.  Whooppee Doo Goldberg:  She compared the name of our president to a similarly named part of her anatomy. (The image is too much to bear).  She also said that constitutionalists want to make her a slave again showing her low IQ by not realizing that this document changes but does not erase.
11.  Rosie O'Donell:  another conspiracy nut who blamed our commander-in-chief for the towers falling.

The list could go on and on:  John Cougar Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, Matthew Modine, Martin Sheen, Spike Lee, Martin Scorcese, Oliver Stone...
Why is this such a dangerous thing?  It is dangerous because of how many uninformed Americans follow the nonsense and hatred spewed by these people.  If they are a celebrity, they must know what's right, right?  Perhaps if more people watched  fair and balanced Fox News instead of viewing disgusting, irreverent shows like "South Park" on the Fox Network, they would see the truth better.

Corbett Gets it, Corbett Gets it!!!!

The planets must have aligned like they never have before, for I am about to praise Steve Corbett.  Steve has long been a card carrying liberal.  He has written and said some things that make my blood boil.  I think we have finally found common ground, and if true, the United States stands alongside us.
Corbett rabidly supported Hillary Clinton for the presidency.  Logic would dictate that he should now support Obama.  Lefties with lefties, right?  Not necessarily!  I have not heard Corbett come out in full support of the McCain/Palin ticket, but he has spoken well of them lately.  This is the position that I believe most Americans who are undecided will migrate to.  Many will say that it is the female vote.  However, not just any woman could evoke such enthusiasm amongst the electorate.  Certainly Palin has struck a chord with the genuine twenty-first century woman.  She is the model for what feminists SHOULD admire and hold up as a model, yet the radicals spurn her.  It has become something more than gender.
The reason why people like Corbett may well break ranks with this Democratic ticket is because the Democrats of today are not that of years past, not even of the Clinton administration.  Obama, Biden, Pelosi and the gang are so far left that they do not connect with those who are Democrats because of unions and black lung benefits.  These are not the Dan Flood Democrats.  These are the far left socialists who aim not for equal opportunity, but for equal subservience.  They set the rules.  They decide who gets the slice of pie.  The Republican ticket, on the other hand represents most of America.  Cut taxes, limit government, and let the people run their own lives.  Allow the free market to create jobs, not government.
Now before one thinks, "Of course a conservative would say this," it can be argued that the same would be true of the radical right.  Who are the radical right?  The are the militias.  They are the white supremecists.  They are the ones who want no government social programs at all.  Here is where the difference lies.  In no way would the vast majority of Republicans support anyone as far right as the above described, yet millions have supported the candidate who is just as far left--until now.  People have begun to awaken to the pomous nature of Obama/Biden.  They are seeing through the barren promises that are impossible to keep.  Obama wants to transfer wealth at such a drastic clip that the effects would be an ecomonic
catastrophe when businesses start to go bankrupt and the tax base to pay for his utopian dream dries up.
The American public is educating themeselves.  They are not willing to put up with the slander shoveled by the Democrats.  McCain is ahead now in the polls, and if he gets Corbett fully in his corner, Northeast PA may well play the deciding role in the election.  So when I say to you, Steve Corbett, "C'mon into the fold," you better listen!!

The Liberal Times Leader
If anyone is still under the delusion that the majority of the media is not leftist, check out today's Times Leader.  The opinion section is overwrought with scathing letters about Sarah Palin, filled with the lies perpetrated by the big shots at the major (lack of) news outlets.  Furthermore, Kevin Blah Blaum's article has the audacity to bring up John McCain's cancer episodes.  Mr. Blaum, (and I know you frequent this site), it was one of the most treatable cancers known, and he is more than healthy.  His genetics suggest that a long life is in store for this honorable man.  Did you not see his ninety-six year old mother at the convention?  She seemed pretty spry.  Of course it is understandable that a tax and spend liberal like Blaum would be of this persuasion.  He was the man who tried to stick the Wyoming Valley tax payers with the bill for the arena from which he earned quite a nice nest egg.
                       *************
The assault on Chritianity is increasing.  There is a film out called "The God Who Wasn't There," another desperate attempt to disprove the existence of Jesus Christ.  Along with that, Bill Mahr--socialist and atheist--reportedley has a film that tears into religion quite irreverently.  Of course just like all of the anti-Bush, anti-War movies, they will flop at the box office, but the question of why there is such a fervor with this subject looms.  What do they fear in Christianity, for this is the only possible reason to release such hate-filled trash?  Why are there not more films about how the Islamic religion is the one to be feared? Are there radical Christians who have hurt or killed in the name of their religion?  Of course there are.  Any group has members inconsistent with their majority.  But the scales are tipped to a great degree.  Terrorism has become a driving force in Islamic Dogma, while Christianity continually supports kindness and peace.  I cannot imagine the emptiness of an atheist's life and fortunately, I don't have to.

A Matter of Class
As the Republican Convention continues, the stark differences between this version and the one the Democrats displayed has become increasingly evident.  Aside from the fact that this is a dignified, cost-effective convention as opposed to the pompous "look at me" coronation of Barack Hussein that costs an inordinate amount, the essence of message and behavior become center stage.  The behavior outside of the convention by the far, far left loons borders on terroristic.  They showed today their lack of civility by physically attacking delegates, one as old as seventy-one years old.  There were protestors at the DNC, but they were not as violent.
Inside, the messages delivered were specific and substantive.  There were no "I'll give you __________" speeches like at the DNC, where future tax dollars flew out the window with every liberal breath that found its way into the microphone.  By contrast, the Republicans spoke of policies that would limit government interference in people's lives and not play "Barackinhood" with your money.  There was no tugging at the heartstrings with messages of the hardships of the candidates.  For one particular soldier, a film was shown depicting his committment to his country and told the story of how he sacrificed his life to save others by falling on a grenade.  The message was not "Bush killed me," or "Get out now." It was a message of duty and honor.
Of course the lambasting of Sarah Palin continues.  The party of tolerance condemns her.  The party that celebrates every sexual perversion known to man, ridicules her pregnant daughter.  The party that preaches equal rights for women has deemed her to be unqualified and biting off more that she can chew.
And so the circle goes on.  Last week's freak show is over.  This week is proving to be a showcase of those who can sucessfully lead this nation.  After all, it's a matter of class.

A Short Play Between a Conservative and a Liberal
Con:  I'm not voting for Obama.
Lib:  You are a racist.
Con:  I don't like Hillary's ideas.
Lib:  You are a sexist.
Con:  But I really like the views of Sarah Palin.
Lib:  Uh, er...gee wiz..uh...You're still a sexist.
Con:  I support the troops.
Lib:   You're a war monger.
Con:  There is a hurricane coming.
Lib:  And it is Bush's fault.
Con:  It's hot out today.
Lib:  It's global warming.
Con:  Last week was unseasonably cool, though.
Lib:  It's global warming.
Con:  Well, I've got to go.  I have a wedding this afternoon.
Lib:  Is it a gay wedding?
Con: No
Lib:  You are filled with hate.
Con:  Actually, it is my best friend getting married.  He's is African- American.  His wife is the CEO of my company and the best boss I've ever had.  He is a doctor who does volunteer work at a clinic.
Lib:  You are a ...a...a...a.  Damn!  What's left?  Obama!  Help!  What do I accuse him of now?

A Real Woman in the White House
For all of the liberals out there who try to say that minorites and women are only welcome in the Democratic party, meet Governor Sarah Palin, the next Vice-President of the United States.  As I have said with Obama, it is not that I don't want a black man in the White House, I just don't want that particular black man in the White House.  It is the same with Hillary.  The rejection of her was not because she is a woman but because she is...well...HERSELF!  Now there is a real woman on the ballot.  She is a mother, a hunter, a business person, and above all, a conservative.  When you hear her speak, when you see her, there is none of the plastic facade that Hillary exudes.  She can be best described as "genuine," a true Renaisannce woman.  Her speech of acceptance was both substantive and dignified.  Hillary's speech at the DNC was flat, boring, and delivered not to support BBHO but to keep herself in the spotlight as long as possible.
As for that disgusting, ostentatious display at the DNC, I have never seen a more pathetic self annointing.  First, the rear of the stage was set up to look like an executive political office similar to the oval office.  This was supposed to send the message of BBHO as legitimate in the role of president.  The Roman columns that surrounded the stage subliminally transmitted the idea that Barack was , in fact, building a mighty empire.  The island of circles where the podium rested placed BBHO alone amidst a sea of disciples symbolically telling us that he indeed does stand alone, a sort of superhuman/deity.  Though his hands were empty, he stood there offering the keys to the kingdom, ready to dole out the goods to his minions courtesy of the future tax rate increase.  The man is gearing up to spend our money like a drunken sailor.
Nevertheless, we made it through and this week we can watch a dignified display at the RNC

Kennedy's New Bill Of Rights
I truly hope that Teddy Kennedy survives his illness he suffers from.  I hold no ill will for the man.  However, I cannot support his philosophies.  Last night at the DNC, he said that universal health care should be a "fundamental right,"  something everyone is entitled to.  If one looks at the "Bill of Rights," the most cherished of them refer to what government won't do, not what they will provide.  They will not infringe upon your free speech, your religion, your right to bear arms.  The will not conduct illegal searches, nor will they quarter soldiers at your home.  The Founding Fathers sought only to protect your lives, not run them, or provide for them.  Logically, this is the slipperiest of slopes to ski down, because there can be no end to the entitlements.  Perhaps housing should be a fundamental right.  How about a car for everyone.  As much as the liberals would like you to believe that their ideas of giving away the farm is somehow equivilent to "a chicken in every pot," there is a clear distinction.  Certainly the hungry should be fed.  We have soup kitchens and food banks for that.  Certainly, the naked should be clothed.  We have clothing drives for that.  Certainly, the homeless should be housed.  We have shelters for that.  But the government's job is not to provide.  Does the book 1984 ring a bell?  Does no one remember the Soviet Union's lack of bread and shoes, and other items simply because it was up to the government to supply it and there were no capitalists to ensure a healthy supply of goods?  People today want to look at oil companies as being evil, but is it not nice that there is a gas station on every corner?  In the Soviet Union, there was such a shortage of gas that one had to buy it on the black market.  Government run systems do not work.  There is little incentive for excellence.
Health care is no different.  If it is universally doled out, the money will come from all of our pockets in taxes.  The government will never pay the doctor's the fees they deserve so in turn, the true achievers of the world will not go into medicine.  Do you want the less talented, less intelligent cutting you open on the operating table?
For the truly impoverished, health care exists.  There are clinics available in nearly all cities.  There are a few in the Wilkes-Barre area that I am familiar with.  The access card is taken by plenty of doctors for those on welfare, and they also receive prescriptions with it.  This is undeniable!  The leftist notion of socialized medicine is nothing more than another attempt to run people's lives.  Elitists like Obama somehow feel the need to say, "I can run your life better than you can."  No one is being denied anything.  The private sector and the charitable organizations can do a much better job of offering health care to the less fortunate than another government bureau can.

Princeton's Pathetic Promiscuous Play
I remember what college freshman orientation was like.  You learned of your schedule, professors, campus clubs, the layout of the school.  Princeton has taken orientation to a new level.  As reported on Glenn Beck this evening, this paragon of the educational landscape has as part of its program a play called "Sex on Saturday Night," in which it promotes the virtues of the "hook up," a slang term for the one night stand.  According to the students and administrator who appeared on the show, the play encourages casual sex as part of the normal college lifestyle.  Now, of course, no one is blind to the fact that college is a time when sex can be quite rampant.  I offer no delusions that these institutions  are monestaries.  However, this play surpasses what most people consider to be the norm, actually encouraging a promiscuous lifestyle on campus.  It is eerily reminiscent of the society in Aldous Huxley's Brave New World in which families were outlawed and the government encouraged short-term relationships of a few nights or weeks, and frequent sexual partners.
Now this play comes under the guise of informing students about safe sex, condom use, etc.  However, the incoming freshmen are required, yes required, to attend as part of the orientation process.  Is this what parents envision when their kids go away to college.  Visions of upperclassmen in "Student Leader" shirts telling the newbies where to buy your books or what local pizza place is the best is suddenly clouded by visions of Roman orgies.  Colleges today push the liberal idea of tolerance for all.  Where is their tolerance for the religious or the simply moral students who do not want to be part of this? Somehow, the word orientation has suddenly become much more literal.  Perhaps they should use a stronger moniker like indoctrination.

  • The media coverage of the anticipation of Barry Barack Hussein Obama's V.P. announcement is totally over the top.  It shows the absolute pomposity he exudes.
  • A meth lab in Glen Lyon?  Yikes!!  Write the epitaph for small town America.
  • The Old Farmer's Almanac announced that this will be a harsh winter, further proving that Al Gore is a moron.
  • Don't blame the Chinese for faking the fireworks at the opening ceremonies of the Olympics.  It came out today that they had to sell all of them to Obama to use when he announces his VP candidate.

All the Medals belong to the U.S.A.

This has been a wonderful Olympics for the United States.  It is likely that we will win the medal count and there have been some great moments--Phelps, of course, men's and women's gymnastics, the women's beach volleyball victory just last night, etc.  However, as I watch, I keep hearing of how so many of these foreign athletes live in America and train here.  If this is the case, I think their medal should belong to us.  It is tiring to watch the greatest country in the world continually fed upon by parasites.  Everyone wants us when they need us.  It is no secret that some of the athletes receive free tuition at colleges and universities--money that could lower tuition rates for U.S. citizens.  I do not believe in the "global" movement.  This is one more indicator of the need to keep Barry Barack Hussein Obama out of office.  His "citizen of the world" philosphy is dangerously close to the "one world government" concept.

  • The bigfoot discovery was found to be a hoax.  The mystery lives on!!!!!!!
  • B.H. Obama has a brother that lives in abject poverty.  This kind of flies in the face of his socialistic, redistribute the wealth concept.
  • Why does the Citizen's Voice go out of its way to publish letters to the editor from outside the area?  Answer:  As long as it's liberal, it's fit to print.
  • How refreshing to see that Carrie Walsh thanked President Bush last night for providing inspiration.  I'm surprised they didn't use a delay and edit it out.
  • So the left is actually going to get spoofed with the new movie coming out about Michael Moore.  Even though it is a comedy, it will likely have more truths in it than most of Moore's pathetic films.

The Downside of the Wall's Fall
For the most part, two great men caused the downfall of the Berlin Wall and communism throughout Europe, especially in The Soviet Union--Pope John Paul II, and President Ronald Reagan.  There is no doubt that they changed the world for the better.  However, there is a negative effect of no longer having communism so readily available, except for China.  The young people of our nation have little to no concept of what communism is, or what the cold war was like.  How is this negative?  It is negative simply because they do not understand the danger of it.  They don't see the oppression, the lack of freedom, or the looming threat of nuclear holocaust.  In two decades, it has been erased.  Political correctness deems that any mention of communism in the classroom must be painted in a benign color.  This is why the situation with Georgia is so difficult.  The remnants of the Soviet Union may be at play here, and to not recognize the dangers is detrimental.
Another reason why the unfamiliarity with the horrors of communism is dangerous is in the acceptance of Barry Barack Hussein Obama.  Listen closely to his ideas and they are communistic: penalizing companies if they make "too big a profit," or redistributing the wealth from one person to another.  Our constitution says we are created equally, not that we must stay that way.  See the '80s film, Moscow on the Hudson.  It will be a fine reminder of diamentrically opposed societies.

China the Cheaters and NBC Red Communist Lovefest

The Chinese have clearly cheated in women's gymnastics.  The new rule is that all competitors must be sixteen years of age.  One look at their team and it is clear they are at most fourteen, and more likely eleven.  Compare them to our "women" and the difference is stark.  Our girls are much taller and weigh more, plus they look like youg women, i.e. they have curves and boobs.  Libs can call me a pig/sexist here if you want, but it is clear.  So how does this help the cheaters?  It is simple.  The place where we lost was mostly in the floor excercises where all three Americans stepped out of bounds during their routines.  They seemed to spring higher and land farther.  Their bodies are heavier and of course will take more force to do the tumbling and therefore, more opposite force to stop (in this case more room).  It is simple physics.  The tiny tots on the communist China team didn't need the full length of the floor because of their tiny frames.  It is what it is!!!!  Nevertheless, a wonderful silver for our legal women.
I, for one, am sick of how NBC is praising China as if they were the greatest nation on the earth.  The three idiots who cover the gymnastics were almost rooting for the Chinese team.  So many criticized President Bush for going.  By that logic, should not everyone stay away?  The president did an excellent job of diplomacy in keeping the focus upon the athletes, yet still being firm with the Chinese government.

  • Obama is in Hawaii.  He should stay there.
  • Bill Clinton is getting his own special night at the convention while scumbag John Edwards has been uninvited.  What is the difference?
  • If you want to envision the U.S.A. under Obama, listen to the conditions in China.
  • Lou Barletta's ads start today.  Go get 'em, Lou!
  • Gas is down to $3.59--it's a start!!!!

Gay Pride on the West Side
The local gay pride crowd held their rally this weekend in Kirby Park.  There were protestors there to tell them their lifestyle is wrong.  This is a touchy issue.  The media and the P.C. police will tell you that if you are one of those protestors, you are a homphobe, bigot, hate monger, etc.  Now I was not there in person, but I do protest this event.  I do not judge their choices.  I do not want to hurt them or discriminate against them.  There is only one thing that bothers me: DON'T FLAUNT IT IN PUBLIC.  I don't see the need to promote homosexuality.  Since they all claim that being gay is innate and they were all born that way, wouldn't they come to this realization on their own without a big, public, ostentatious display of freakishness.  Children do see this and I firmly do not believe that they need to be exposed to alternative lifestyles in their young lives.
Secondly, why do the gays need to have a rainbow as their symbol?  I don't think the pot of gold at the end of one is a gay romp in the hay.  I don't think Judy Garland was singing about a gay pride rally in The Wizard of Oz, nor is Kermit the Frog when he sings The Rainbow Connection.  The symbol of the rainbow has been tainted.

  • The Olympics are going well for the U.S.A. so far.  Keep winning!!!!!!!!
  • I don't think the U.S. should get involved with the Russia-Georgia conflict, but I'll leave it to our excellent commander-in-chief to decide.
  • I would like to invite Al Gore to come dip his ass in my ice cold pool and then explain this global warming theory again.
  • McCain and Barry Hussein are virtually deadlocked.  Getting scared, Barry?

Angels Among Us
I have been to New York City many times.  I have occasionally ridden the subway.  The greatest feeling I ever had on the subway was when I saw one of the Guardian Angels sitting a few seats away from me.  As a NEPA born soul, I have always had my fears about the city.  Here in the valley, we don't ride subways so it is natural to fear that which we do not deal with on a regular basis.  The Guardian Angels have set up shop in Wilkes-Barre, and how have we greeted them?  We have a mayor and a police chief who refuse to acknowledge their presence.  The buzz is that they are afraid of "condoning" vigilantism and want to avoid a future lawsuit if one of these "law enforcers" gets out of hand.  Only in Luzerne County could local government be so myopic.  This is what embodies the coal miner mentality.  Now I respect coal miners a great deal.  The coal miner mentality has nothing at all to do with their honest work ethic and way of life.  It refers to the idea that this area must stay thirty years behind the times.  It says that we are inferior.  The Guardian Angels have successfully made the streets of many cities safer through their efforts.  Our local police cannot handle the amount of crime that has been plagueing our city as of late.  Let these people do their jobs and welcome them!

  • Morgan Freeman, a great actor, was in a bad accident today.  I hope he is alright.
  • Boscov's filed for Chapter 11.  This is a shame.  They do not advertise well.
  • Why do other cities plant flowers and cut the weeds along roadsides and medians and W-B is a jungle?
  • Why doesn't someone buy the Hart Restaurant?
  • Why is Barry Obama calling Paris and Brittany airheads.  McCain simply put them on a commercial.
