I fell in love with these magically enchanting, lovable sighthounds
in March 1999 when a handful of Silken Windhound aficionados gathered together for our first Silkenfest. As the Founding Members of the International Silken Windhound Society,
it was incredible to be part of an endeavor of a lifetime. A new breed
had emerged along with new friends sharing a common goal and dream!
My goal at Windspirit is “Breed
to Improve” and to whelp puppies with qualities that are as near as possible to the ideal for the Silken Windhound breed,
preserving and enhancing the characteristics that make this breed unique.
As a responsible breeder, my commitment to my precious Silkens is for their entire lives. I will be there if the need arises to
take any one of my Silkens back home to the Windspirit family. I am always there for support and advice
regarding my Silkens.
Getting a dog is a lifetime
commitment. They offer unmatched devotion, loyalty and friendship, but they require more than just food and shelter in return.
They also need healthy doses of exercise, training and, most of all, love and attention. I do my best to ensure that every
Windspirit Silken lives with a person/s who will treat it as a member of the family, providing the love and devotion
that I have given it from puppyhood.
