If you ever wanted to see Jesus administer a karate influenced beating to a racist sheriff, Brother John is the film for you. Sidney Poitier plays a mysterious stranger--who may be the Messiah--whose arrival in a Georgia town attracts the attention of a nefarious factory owner and his crooked cops. This entertaining, if lightweight, film is on DVD now but the real treasure is in the VHS version: a "celebrity" filled and nearly incomprehensible PSA titled "Stop the Madness" which I share with you here.
