4Daily rehearsal is the integral key to musical progress, achievement and enjoyment

4Parents should be actively involved in a child's musical

endeavor and set standards for practice and excellence

4Students should be exposed to a wide range of music,

from classic to popular, for a well-rounded, enjoyable

    musical education and experience

4Improvisation and composition should be encouraged as a

means for students to creatively express themselves, and

    to think “outside the box”

4Performance is strongly encouraged as a means of sharing musical

   achievements
