Don has a Bachelor's Degree in Music and is an accomplished trombonist. Don gravitated to the accordion in college and joined forces wth Ted Porter and Tim Whittemore to form BIG BLOW and the Bushwackers. Don was a member of BBatB for more than 15 years. The group recorded 4 landmark CDs (linked below) and performed at well known venues such as the Philadelphia Folk Festival, the Great Blue Heron Festival and National Public Radio's "All Things Considered." Don is currently a member of the Village Idiots. The V.I. are preparing songs in the Americeltcanna genre and will be performing at several Baltimore area locations so check the calendar page. Don's passion for singing songs that he learns and writes continues. He and the rest of the Village Idiots can't wait to expose more people to the musical mayhem.
