Battery H participates in Western Region and National events. Our members compete in all firearm categories
including Mortar and Cannon. Our 2 coehorn mortars use 6" zinc shot while our 10 pounder parrot cannon uses 3" bolts.
Because transporting the cannon, caisson, and trailer from Illinois to Virginia is costly, we typically shoot at the Grayling,
MI Long Range Cannon Competition. Hitting a 4'x8' target from 1,000m is a rush!
