Does anyone still play with Atari computers?  I learned the power of computers, and how to program (a bit), on Atari computers.  I wrote a number of articles and program reviews, and published a few programs.  I recently found copies of one of my old web pages; here is some of what was on it:

·  Three Astronomy Programs

Here are three programs to calculate rising and setting times of the sun and moon; dates of new moon; and positions of planets. Nothing fancy, but they work--and should work on all Ataris.

·  Landmine-A game

This was my first and last effort at programming in Pascal. This is a takeoff on the popular game for that other computer system. It works on older Ataris, but for some reason it won't work on my Falcon. (I would appreciate it if someone could tell me why.) Includes the source code.

·  A Review of Papyrus

I published a number of reviews/articles in Current Notes when Joe Walters published it. This is the last thing I wrote for Joe; it was never published. Those wondering if they should get Papyrus may find it useful.

·  A Papyrus font file

When Papyrus4 was first offered it included a CD that contained 500 fonts. This file contains several Papyrus files to use in printing out samples of those fonts. To make use of this file you must have Papyrus4, the 500 font CD that comes with Papyrus4, a CD Drive, and a printer.

·  A Program to analyze text files

This program will count the number of words in a file, the number of different words in the file, print an alphabetical list of the words, and determine how many words are of any given length. A useful file if you use word processors like Papyrus, which don't have a word count feature.

·  A 1998 calendar

This is a Papyrus file which prints a calendar for the rest of 1997 and all of 1998. It prints one month per page, and has room for notes each day.
