Higher education is undergoing a radical transformation in many areas. Delivery of courses in a blended or online learning environment requires employing new technologies, using an updated pedagogy that employs the technology, and curriculum designed to suit the media.  Additionally, there is an increased focus on what it costs to deliver education to a changing student population that includes traditonal and "non-traditional" learners. 

Large Public University: Working at the direction of the Associate Dean in the role of Academic Director, assumed responsibilities for developing program offerings, building sustainable infrastructure and managing day-to-day operations for Continuing Education division.  Assignment included:

-          Improving work processes in all facets of operations: enrollment; faculty services; marketing; curriculum development, and; academic advisement processes

-          Refining curriculum, packaging, and developing quality control protocols to deliver a portfolio of 15 certificate programs and other individual, non-certificate courses

-          Managing, supporting, and providing faculty development for adjunct faculty to support delivery of complete portfolio of course offerings

-          Developing and managing a successful pre-MBA program for international students that combined introductory business, ESL, test preparation, and communications courses

 

Private School System: Working at the direction of the Executive Board, led three part program that included launching a partnership with a local university, introducing college test prep into the curriculum, and establishing a career awareness program.  Assignment included:

-          Designing the architecture to migrate a community school system into an educational system with college preparatory-focused curriculum

-          Designing and implementing programs for the administration, teachers, parents, and students to help them manage the demands introduced in the transformation program

-          Developing tools and providing tools training to the community of stakeholders to ensure sustainability of the change management initiative

 

Software Publishing Company: Working at this software publishing company, developed curriculum for a profitable line of professional educational offerings.  Work included:

-     Designed quality, repeatable process for integrating print publishing and corresponding online delivery for suite of allied health products

-     Developed architecture for repurposing content assets for use in both alternate delivery media and repackaged course offerings

-     Assembled and led a team of technologists, content subject matter experts, artists, and reviewers through implementation

 

Mid-Tier Private University: Working at the direction of the College President, providing professional coaching services for the Dean of the Arts and Sciences College.  Assignment included:

-          Providing insight and challenging the thinking required to support the development of the strategic direction and vision for the college

-          Developing managerial acumen to identify, request and secure the resources the liberal arts college needs to achieve the goals defined in the strategic plan

 

Educational Test Preparation Company: Working at the direction of the CEO, led initiative in an educational services company that conducted needs analysis for an office of Project Management.  Assignment included:

-          Assessing work flows associated with 500+ requests the IT department received per year

-          Identifying change management requirements that would match the company’s technical maturity with a staged launch of a PMO

-          Developing analysis that showed a project management office could achieve efficiencies for the organization of between 3.6% and 10% of its annual operating budget
