Today is a good day to be a twin!
Christian is starting to teethe, and he drools and chews on everything, including his brother! This morning he was fussing, so I laid him down and put Dominic next to him, and he immediately started smiling. They're talking to each other now, making little coos and noises. Awwww!!! They love each other!!!

Today we saw the ear/nose/throat specialist...
Christian (and probably Dominic, too) has laryngomalacia. The ENT said as long as he was gaining weight and not having trouble breathing, then it's nothing to worry about as most babies just grow out of it. Apparently the squeaky noise on inhalation is a big hallmark of this and is called stridor. They did a nasal endoscopy to be sure (poor Christian screamed and had tears running down his face. I had to hold him, I was crying too and saying "I'm sorry" over and over). Since Dominic is doing the same thing to a lesser degree, the dr said we could just assume he has it too - he thought it was very interesting to see it in twins. Interestingly, it may have caused the reflux, since he retracts when he does it, that could have started bringing stomach acids up. We don't have to go back, he just wants the ped to keep an eye on it. So I'm glad it's nothing serious but I wish he hadn't had to go through that!

I posted this a while back on webmd...
And I thought I was particularly witty that day so I'm putting it up here:

So here's my new theory...

The boys, possibly aided & abetted by their daddy, have wired my pillow, the fridge door, and the breastpump, to send them a signal whenever Mom is doing something that prevents her from immediately rushing to pick them up the second they cry. I'm sure their little conversation back in their crib goes as follows:
"Hey man, the Bat-signal just went off - Mom's trying to sleep!"
"Great, do you want to cry or shall I?"
"You go ahead, I just ate."
"Nah, I'm good for a little while, why don't you cry this time and I'll get a bit more sleep?"
"Yeah sure, I could eat a little more. Let me just pee through my fresh diaper real quick first so she has to change my outfit again too."
"Good thinking, man. As soon as you're done, I'll be sure to cry before she has a chance to burp you."
"Right on my brother. I'll just pass out in mid-bottle, how about that?"
"Okay. Then I'll try to pee on her when she changes my diaper."
"Great work, I think we've got the next couple of hours planned. Rendezvous here in the Bat-crib at 0330 hours?"
"Will do big bro!"

It's a conspiracy! They're tag-teaming me!
