Chris stood alone!
Chris stood up in his crib yesterday, all by himself. Yay! Dom has been standing up all the time (holding onto things,
he hasn't stood unassisted yet except for a second or two) for a while now. They are almost 11 months now.
Nana has a plane ticket to come out for a week for their first birthday! And Auntie Katie will be coming down to visit
for a day or two also. We're very excited.

Updates
We went to the beach yesterday. Only got to stay about 10 minutes before it started raining. I forgot the camera again.
The boys were a little nervous of the waves at first but then they decided they're okay. They ate a few cookies and looked
around at all the people. When it started raining, I sat under a hotel awning with them while Robert went for the car, and
there was a Chinese woman with her baby (9 months old, sooooo adorable) next to me under the awning. We talked for a few minutes,
and her baby tried to grab Dom. Chris kept looking at her. It was so cute.
I put some new pics up in the July page.

Tooth #3
Chris cut one of his upper incisors yesterday. It is just barely through the gums. They are both sleeping worse than
ever. It's like they're newborns again.

Cuddle bugs
The boys love to climb in my lap and give me hugs and kisses (and pull my hair). They give each other hugs, too. They're
so cute and snuggly.
The rash on Chris's face finally seems to be going away. I've been putting Aquaphor on it three times a day. It's hard
to keep his face dry when he's chewing on his thumb and wiping drool all over his cheeks all the time.
They are less interested in jar foods lately. They want to eat people food. Yesterday I gave them canned carrots and
they did pretty good with them. They eat Cheerios almost every morning after their oatmeal and fruit. They love to feed themselves.
Their little pincer grips are pretty good now.

Pulling up!
After a few weeks of pulling up to kneeling (both of them), Dominic pulled himself up to standing yesterday! Yay Dominic!
I'm adding some new pictures to July, and putting a new theme up for the site. Enjoy!

New updates
I typed up the guided pregnancy journal that I kept. It's posted on a link at the bottom of the Twins History page. Wow
that brought back memories. It was interesting to read again.
I added new pics of the boys in the July page.

Ornery little devils
Chris will NOT sleep. He had to cry for 5 minutes to fall asleep for his nap this morning. It took me until 10:15pm last
night to get them both to sleep. Chris cried a bit, then fell asleep and didn't get up until 7:30. Dom got up once at 1:00
then at 6:45, then again at 8:30. It was a pretty crappy night but we've had a lot of really crappy nights lately. Chris had
to sleep in the pack n play in our room, so Robert and I slept on the futon in the den so we wouldn't wake him opening the
door. I'm going to try to hit the YMCA after lunch this afternoon so I can get some time to myself to work out and swim.
Uploaded new pics, started the July photos page. There's a very cute series of Dom giving Chris some lovin's, he was
very snuggly. And Chris laying on the floor yelling at the ladybug. He just held it and would yell in short bursts, you could
almost hear him going "Hey! Toy! What are you?" haha

A few bits & pieces
Last week Dom got a split lip when Chris hit him in the mouth with a toy while trying to hug his head. Dom started crying,
and Chris tried to pat him with this look like "sorry dude! I was just trying to love you!" Poor thing.
They now have figured out that if the crib side is lowered, they can pull up to kneeling. They haven't pulled up to stand
yet. They like to crawl around in their cribs, and play peek-a-boo through the bars while I change diapers (I sit on the floor
to change them). Sometimes when I go in there one of them will be kneeling up, holding onto the bars, and talking to his brother.
When they eat, they like to lean over to look at each other and talk and laugh. It's so funny, I wonder what they're
saying to crack each other up so much.
They LOVE to pet the kitty. Poor Vladimir is terrified of them, when they come at him he just lays totally still as if
he hopes they won't see him. They grab big handfuls of his fur (and skin) and try to chew on him. Ha. He runs away as soon
as he can.
Last night we went to the mall and had them in the Eddie Bauer stroller (front seat reverses so they can see each other),
and while Robert was trying on sneakers, they were playing with their Linkadoos and a toy keyring. Dom had the keys and Chris
was reaching for them, so Dom leaned forward and handed them to him. It was so cute and funny!
Having twins is the best. All babies should come in pairs.

New teeth!
Both of the boys got their second tooth, broke through their gums last night. So now they both have their lower incisors
(bottom front teeth).
Well Chris doesn't have an ear infection. Dr Curry said if he presented any new symptoms to call her, but she doesn't
see anything wrong - just teething. She told us we can give him a larger dose of Motrin than we have been, so we'll see if
that helps but it didn't seem to last night. Chris is a devilish little sleeper, now he's started getting up around 2:30am
and won't go back to sleep for hours. Robert and I are going to try again tonight now that his new tooth broke through, and
if he does the same thing then he's going to need to cry it out and learn to sleep that way. Nothing else we've tried has
helped, and we've been through all the non-CIO methods. Dom sleeps pretty good when Chris isn't in the room constantly waking
up crying. Dom will reposition himself and go back to sleep, Chris won't - most of the time he just freaks out when he rolls
over in his sleep. We don't want him doing this when he's old enough to get out of his bed, and we're so frustrated from almost
a year of no sleep, and now Chris is just getting worse. We're pretty much at the end of our rope with him.
Chris now weighs 19lb10oz, and 28.75 inches (but he was hunching his shoulder and being ornery so he's probably a bit
taller).
