I feel so fortunate to be able to enjoy the White Mountains of NH. From my place in between Waterville Valley and Loon
Mountain, there are so many mountain and river views to choose from. Here the four seasons are so hard and distinct, the weather
so changeable, and its affects on the mountains, valleys and rivers so stark. I hope you enjoy these views from my paintings.
At the bottom there are five new landscape paintings inspired from New Hampshire. I found a couple
of barns to paint which is fun as I always like to paint old barns. In "Storm coming over the mountains"
I tried to incorporate my new colorization effects. Trying out something new once again, I have attempted a "split pane"
for a scene on the Pemigewasset river. My goal was to create a composition of two paintings that both united completed a scene
but separately each painting was able to stand on its own. I took this scene for a canoe trip down the Pemi as it branches
and reunites several times over its course.
