Patient Scheduling
In order to ensure our patients
and staff a comfortable, tranquil environment, we have specifically designed our office to treat just one patient at a
time. We also make every effort to see patients promptly on schedule so that no one is made nervous by waiting.
To help us maintain our schedule,
we ask new patients to allow themselves fifteen minutes ahead of their initial appointment time to fill our paperwork.
Currently, we are making appointments
about one week in advance.
Broken Appointments
Many patients do not realize
how seriously our office (and other dental offices) feels about broken appointments. Once a patient has been scheduled for
a particular time, no one else will be given that appointment time. As a result, a broken appointment means that Dr. Laws
and our staff remain idle for the entire time of a broken appointment (usually forty-five minutes or more).
Patients should know that
Failed Appointments, last minute Cancellations, and last minute Rescheduling are highlighted in red in our appointment
book and noted in the patient's permanent record. These notations serve as a warning to us in our future scheduling and treatment
decisions.
A charge of $50.00 will
be assessed for appointments which are failed or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.
