If you are called into a meeting by any Company   Manager or Corporate Security, please tell  them ...

     “If this discussion could in any way lead to my being disciplined or terminated, or affect my personal working conditions;

          I respectfully request that my Union Representative, Officer, or Steward be present at the meeting. Without representation,

          I choose not to answer any questions.”

·         DO provide them with your name and social security number..

·         DO provide them with the name and telephone number of your supervisor..

·         DO tell them that you are ill.

·         DO NOT  DISCUSS YOUR ILLNESS WITH THEM.

·         If you are questioned you should only provide your SYMPTOMS..

·         DO, if you are under a doctor's care, and your illness is expected to last more than SEVEN CALENDAR days, give them the name and telephone number of your physician..

·         DO ask the person you are speaking with for their FULL name, title, and registration number..

·         Ask if they have malpractice insurance and what company it is with. If it does you should not be stepped under the Absence Control Plan.

·         DO  NOT diagnose yourself, and  DO  NOT let THEM diagnose you..

·         DO  NOT offer any information such as you have a cold, flu, sprain, etc.

·         All you tell them is you are ill..

·         DO  NOT tell them when you think you will be back. Tell them that you will be back to work when you are no longer ill..

·         If the person at ABC states that it does not qualify for Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), ask them why not, document the answer, time, date, and name..

·         DO  file a grievance upon returning to work for FMLA treatment and file a separate grievance if the person tries to intimidate or coerce you in any way..

·         DO  fill out the attached "Complaint Form “ if you feel you were harassed or mistreated in any way, (such as refusing to pay) or if they REFUSE to give you their registration number..

·         If they want you to go to a doctor notify your Chief Steward right away, and you will be instructed on what to do.
