Stuff I've observed in my year of making yogurt.
1) Do NOT wash the Igloo insulated container in the dishwasher. The plastic doesn't care at all for it. They tell you in the instructions, but who reads the instructions?!? Print it in big red blinking letters on the side of the container if you want me to see it.
2) It's time to change the culture (i.e. buy new commercial yogurt as a starter) when your yogurt starts getting all lumpy and non-smooth. It still tastes OK, but it's not very pretty.
3) Two cups of non-fat dried milk in the earlier recipes makes for an excellent, thick yogurt.
4) I can't think of anything else. I'll be back, though, I'm sure.
