Why a WeedBurner Muffler?

RedTFromBehind.jpg
Original Smoke Stack

We chose to put a weed burner stack on for three reasons. One, to maximize drom box space. Two, to make it more RV like and less truck like. Three, so that exaust soot doesn't stain the top leading edge on our trailer.

The weedburner stack was done by JAM Trucking and Repair in Camden, Delaware. They removed all of the old stack bracketry, added a set of brackets to mount the front section of the bed deck, made a set of brackets to support the new stack, welded a chrome tip and were able to route the exaust off to the side.

One of the noises from the truck was actually a rusted through muffler. The section under the strap had been covered with cheap silver paint. Many of the exaust ticks were actually a bad muffler. The new muffler was $67 at Keller Truck Parts in Dover DE. Nice folks with most stuff you'll need on hand. JAM replaced all of the piping and clamps from the flex line to the muffler. The bent section and chrome tip were recycled from the old muffler. Total parts cost: $325. Total labor: $800.
