Why the name Camp Agnolo?
The name, Camp Agnolo, is a tribute to the father of modern cycling, Tullio Campagnolo, who invented the bicycle
derailleur system. Today, Campagnolo components are still the standard by which all bicycle components are measured.

Construction Surprises ...
During every project there are construction surprises. These little gems are all "Oh My" moments.

Boondocking Area
Within the tree section of the property, there will be a clearing for boondocking space. If the land has more than 4
campsites, it falls under the auspices of the health department whether it is private or commercial campground. The septic
system for that is huge, so it will remain a FHU boondocking space rather than a campsite.

Creating the Driveway
Steuben County DOT/DPW rejected the original engineering plan because the driveway entrance was on a curve. They
suggested and approved the modifications (moved the entrance ~100' to the south) but did not require a new engineering
drawing. This little move added over 200 tons of stone to the drive way, and required a small wall. Here's a YouTube video of the HDT and Camper making their first appearance on the property.
UPDATE: Major setback. The new road created a frost dam in front of the springs behind the wall. When it defrosted,
the soil behind the wall turned into a slurry that blew the wall out into the road way. Work will stop on the other sections
until the wall can be repaired.

| Wall Collapsed |

|
| Bottom Edge |
UPDATE (6/16): The collapsed wall caused the drainage system to fill with silt, which flowed into the Seuben County
storm water system, which in turn had some (fill in the blank) call the state and file a formal environmental complaint.
So, after a visit from the NYSDEC and the Director of Steuben County Storm Water Management, I was given the opportunity
to correct the mess rather than face formal reprimand processing.
Following four days of intense reading to become knowledgable about civil engineering and storm water mitigation, filing
an environmental permit, and delveoping a full Storm Water Pollution Protection Plan (SWPPP), complete with structural drawings,
we got back in business. It does force us to redirect resources into storm water mitigation from sewer installation
and wall repair though.
