Almost all of the projects at the house have been "HardScaping" Using stone off all kinds, we have created a three dimentional English courtyard.

Outdoor projects can make a dramatic impact on your house for a moderate amount of money and a lot of sweat equity. We found that your local Sand and Gravel pit is a much better source for natural stone (boulders and rocks) than the masonary supply store. Three hundred pound boulders can be delivered by the truck load for about $200 from the local sand and gravel pit. It really pays to shop around.

The main focus of this page is the stone work. We completed all of the stone work in one years worth of weekends and the barn was completed in three months worth of weekends.
Here's the front wall and garden in progress. Click on the picture to see more on this project and the complete back courtyard.
