My wife went on a business trip, so I took the opportunity to remodel the bathroom. New cabinets, new sinks, and some new lights.

I made a cabinet top to go between the sinks and breakup the long narrow counter. I also made a 7'3" light box out of two 36" light boxes.

Click on the pictures below for full size images.

Start of the Lightbox

The light box started out as a pair of 36" light boxes designed to go on top of a medicine cabinet. I made a 15" square cabinet box for the middle.

Cabinet Topper

The old sinks were all one piece and made the bathroom look too long and narrow. The new vanities are taller, have a shallower center cabinet, , and a cabinet topper in the middle to provide storage.

End of Lightbox

From the end, you can see the substructure used to join all of the elements together. The moulding was 4 passes on the shaper.

Clock Insert

A clock mechanism will be inserted in the center section. The clock was a close out at BJ's and the boxes were 50% at Grossman's bargin basement.
