The barn was a next year project until the existing shed was found to be infested with ants and chipmunks. The foundation is a full poured concrete foundation with a slab floor due to the slope of the land and the number of tree stumps found while digging for the footers. As an added bonus, most of the large boulders used in the hardscaping project were found and reclaimed during the excavation.

The second project is a home for tractor implements yet to come. A small shed next to the barn.

A full gambrel was a fun framing project. Without CAD SW, it would have taken several attempts to get the birdsmouth, angles and distances correct.

I know I said I'd never do another gambrel. Looks like I was wrong.

It took two months to get the barn done, so for about 3 weeks, the roof got covered with a tarp every night.

Same profile and proportions as the barn, just smaller. The shed is 10'6" wide and 14'9" long. Just big enough so that the tractor can pull in with on of the major implements attached.
