Our Purpose

The Westminster Democratic Town Committee has been a way for registered Democrats to get involved in campaigns -- and the civic process in general -- for over 50 years.

It is up to DTCs like ours to make the Democratic Party in Massachusetts part of what DNC Chair, Governor Howard Dean, calls “a political party devoted to ensuring that ordinary people not only have a voice, but real power at all levels of government.” To do this, we need registered Democrats to get involved and help us out.

Joe Macchia helps register voters at the Town Benefit Day on August 10, 2008.

The Westminster DTC is actively involved in the Barack Obama presidential campaign. We are currently recruiting volunteers to help out with voter registration drives, phone banks, carpools to canvass in New Hampshire, hold signs outside the polls on Election Day, throw house parties to attract more supporters, etc. We'd love to hear from you! Once you contact us, please set up a profile at my.barackobama.com.

Note that if you are a registered Independent, please see the Calendar and Elections pages for ways you can get involved.
