We are down to 3 weeks (and actually a day less than that) until we leave for vacation. Our new plan involves driving
down the evening before we had originally planned and going as far as we can go, then finding a hotel wherever we stop and
starting out fresh the next day. I think breaking the trip down like this will be good for everyone. It also allows
us to arrive a bit earlier on Thursday and get settled.
At home, we've been busy working on the basement, and now I even get to be a little more involved in the painting and
trimwork and helping hang the drywall. Our bathroom is nearly complete except for getting the sink and toilet hooked
up, finishing the trim, and adding a door. It looks great.
The bedroom has a ceiling and two of the four walls up now. We should be able to have all of the walls up and start
the painting process before we leave for vacation.
We've been continuing to take family trips here and there on the weekends, and have one more planned this month to a
pumpkin farm. Plus we'll be celebrating three birthdays in the family this month: Frank, his sister, and Noelle
all within 6 days of each other. I'm sure too much cake will be consumed in that time, just in time for Halloween treats
to also arrive in the house.
I hope to update the Family News sight as soon as I get the chance and put up some photos of some recent trips too.
