Tryout Information:
SC United, a rising U15 boy’s team (currently U14) is holding open tryouts for all
positions for the fall 2006 / spring 2007 seasons. We are actively looking for a goalie(s) to play full time. We will
provide training for keeper(s). Tryouts will be held on the following dates: June 17th from 9:00am – 11:00am,
June 19th – 22nd from 7:00pm – 8:30pm,
June 23 7:00pm – 8:30pm and June 24 from 9:00am – 11:00am. All tryouts will be held at the Newington
Forest athletic field.
SC United is a fairly new team that currently plays in Division 1 of ODSL. Last
fall in our first season, SC United finished 2nd in Division 2 of ODSL. SC
United, from the coaches to the parents, is committed to providing a fun and educational environment where all players learn
core values that are not only beneficial to playing sports, but everyday life as well. With a strong emphasis placed on sportsmanship,
team work, individual responsibility and youth leadership. At the same time, the SC United coaching staff is committed to
providing the necessary training needed for success in both individual and team play. Weekly practices are usually held three
times a week with the third practice being optional. The third practice is primarily a scrimmage among the players and their
family members.
