Intro to Web Design (HTML,CSS, JAVASCRIPT)
This is an
elective course available to those students that have achieved a "90" average in Computer I or a teacher recommendation. The
nuts and bolts of Web Page Construction are taught in a "lab oriented" differentiated learning environment. The course includes
a practical, hands-on approach to Web Development. Students will develop pages using HTML-CSS, Javascript and Flash-Like Software.
They will apply these web techniques by creating a variety of interesting projects. Project opportunities include:
Students will be encouraged to discuss and compare their completed
work with the class.
Additional projects will be given in Networking, PC Repair, and Technology Ethics essays and debates.

Simple interactive techniques are introduced here to create Forms with Submit options.

Frame Technique is reviewed and implemented. Pro's and Con's comparisons with DIV.

The Students will combine their HTML skills to produce a multi-page Portfolio Web Site that will be used as a personal
reference to prospective employers in the professional workplace. Upon completion, students will take part in a
mock-job search and live interview.

Additional Web techniques in JAVASCRIPT that will enable interactivity, animation, cascading menu systems and other interesting
elements.
