Live from Abbey Road
It’s back for a second season!
Some
great performers will be appearing this season, and you couldn't have a better venue. The sound quality is great and there's
no audience, so the musicians are very relaxed. It's like sitting in the control booth during an actual recording
session.
From
Ben Harper to Dashboard Confessional, there's something for everyone.
On the Sundance Channel - Fridays at 9pm EST. Repeated at
various times throughout the week. Check your local listings.

This is a great show. News stories, music and unbelievable
nature and wildlife photography.
On a recent show the stories ran the gamut from the first
TV ads to a piece on tattoos (how did they start and why do so many people go under the pen?) There was also a story
on the master craftsmen at the Martin Guitar Co. and one on the "dark side" of Ellis Island, plus a review of the movie Sicko
and some surprising facts about our first president called "Washington slept here". The commercial breaks are framed
by the sights and sounds of exquisite nature videos.
The show is hosted by Charles Osgood and once your eyes
adjust to his ever present bow tie, you'll find he's quite good. The stories are timely and interesting and
the correspondents are top notch. What really sets it apart from the other news magazines though is the amazing
amount of work that goes into the little details. The unique sun graphics
that accompany each piece, the extreme skill and patience needed to capture the nature videos, even the jazz trumpet greats
that have played the theme (Abblasen by Gottfried Reiche) over the years really round out the package.
It's the perfect way to
start your Sunday. Check your local listings for air time.

Joel McHale dips into the festering petri dish of celeb culture and extracts choice chunks of hilarity. Antibiotics
not included...
Do you hate the way TV feeds us a steady diet of celebrity
news, talk and reality shows? Here's a show that bites the hand that feeds it and expresses what we're all thinking. With
running gags like Oprah's va-jay-jay and the lampooning of their own network, you know nothing is sacred, and that's
why we like it.
New episodes run on Friday nights on E. Check your local listings for
time and channel. Also watch for "Best and Worst of " specials which include dating and reality shows and the
year in review.
