That was great TV, I'm still stunned. All I can read from the newspaper
is "Man found". I'm still going through the frames trying to find a better shot. Several people noticed that the name of the
funeral home, Hoffs/Drawler, is an anagram for flash forward.
So, did their adventure on the island happen before Jack's father
died and the whole thing has been a flashback (maybe that's what screwed up his marriage), or is this Jack flashing forward.
The anagram would certainly suggest so. If he is flashing forward, maybe he'll realize that he just made a mistake contacting
the freighter and they'll all head for the hills next season.
Damon and Carlton promised they'd surprise us and they delivered!
OK, in a nutshell cause I gotta go to bed: Locke lives. Walt is back..? Ben is toast. Juliet proves she's "one of them". Hurley
and the magic bus save the day. Stone Cold Sawyer takes no prisoners. Patchy's got 9 lives. Charlie dies heroically but
before he goes he talks to Penny, who doesn't know about Naomi or her boat (check out the screen cap of Charlie, it looks
like he has a halo as he drifts by the portal) Rousseau is reunited with Alex. And then that ending. Too much...
The writers and producers of Lost are amazing. It's been said recently
that perhaps they use the web chatter about the show to guide them. I think the last few episodes, especially Looking Glass,
shows that while they are in tune with what we think, they are more likely gauging what we don't get. Case
in point, after Trisha Tanaka is Dead many people were complaining, "It was cute but why did they waste our time with
Hurley and his Dharma bus? I want more action and mystery!" How integral is Roger Workman and the bus to the
plot now? Never mind that it shouldn't be able to run, this is the magical island, and the castaways are on a quest. Gotta
love Hurley.
I actually like the change in direction the show seems to be taking.
I know some people are thinking "Oh God, where are they going now?" but think about this: they've got 3 seasons, a fixed endpoint,
and they're really good storytellers. I think we're in for a wild ride.
So, who do you think was in the casket?
There's plenty to debate til next season.
