Cause we're all dead...
Are they? Hurley thinks so. Jack doesn't yet, but I think he'll be coming around,
what with his Dad in town and all.
Interesting episode. Juliet removes Jack's appendix, Jack has a flash forward to a brief
but happy time with Kate and Aaron, until he visits Hurley, who passes along a message to him from Charlie that "he's not
supposed to raise him".
Christian Sheppard appears to both Jack and Claire, and is holding Aaron when Claire wakes
up. Sawyer wakes and finds the baby but not Claire.
I can't help thinking that the baby, and how he's raised, is an important part to
the story. Check out this entry for Aaron in Wikipedia .
Too much for me this late. Check out the caps in the meantime. In the previews for next
week we see Dharma mathemetician Horace Goodspeed telling Locke that he's been waiting for him for a long time, and that he's
been dead for 12 years. Yikes, ghost island!
Rose gets it
I loved the scene where Rose and Bernard were prepping the makeshift operating table.
She remarks to Bernard that the island may have made Jack sick, that perhaps it doesn't want him to leave. Rose gets it, as
only someone whos life has been profoundly changed by the island can, and I have to agree with her logic. As Locke once said,
nothing happens on the island without a reason.
I'm still not completely sure why she'd want to leave in the first place. I
know she loves Bernard and wants him to be happy, but if I thought the island was responsible for curing me of cancer,
I wouldn't be going anywhere. I'd settle into some secluded spot and start working on my own Swiss Family Robinson spread.
I would have to guess that the stress and fear she has been constantly subjected to has colored her decision as
much if not more than her desire to please Bernard.
So what do you think? Is the island or fate sending Jack a not so subtle message,
or is it just an incredible stroke of bad luck?
