...and there's no other show like this one.
That was an unbelievable episode. I really loved the cuts at the end as each story line
clicked into the same time line. It was really well done, and an extremely powerfull buildup for the conclusion.
Hi honey, I'm home...
We finally got to see the Oceanic 6's homecoming and to hear a little more of their
cover story. Pure, grade A, B.S., through and through. The big question here is: Why is Oceanic helping them to perpetuate
this myth?
We also got to see a little of the Orchid station, with a promise of much more to come in
the finale, as Ben instructs Locke on how to access the "real station", hidden beneath the greenhouse.
The kicker of the night for me though, was when John asked Ben how he would get past the
guards, and Ben responds: "How many times do I have to tell you John, I always have a plan." The "Stimpy, you fat, bloated,
idiot!" look on his face was priceless, as was the way he turned his eyes upward to nonchalantly examine the
barrel of Keamy's gun as it was pressed to his forehead a few moments later. Ben's got more than a plan.
For a while now I've suspected that Ben suffers from the same inability to die as does
Michael, and I'm convinced that the mirror signaling excercise was a call to Richard for backup. That's why he showed
so much indifference to the situation.
The disdainful look he gave John indicates that he's still not convinced that John is smart
enough, or deserving enough, for Jacob's trust.
Michael Emerson is masterful in the roll of Ben.
The Final Episode Approacheth
Man, I'm tingling with anticipation. This is gonna be good!
We know who makes their escape, so the big reveal will be what happens with the freighter
commandos, The Others, the other Losties, and the island itself.
I can't visualize what "The Frozen Donkey Wheel" code name could be referring to, but
I have a feeling that it will involve the Orchid and time on the island.
I have to say, I've been keeping a low profile the last couple of weeks. I'm afraid to visit
my usual sites as there's been too much info floating around again this year. Posting
spoilers has become a real cottage industry, and I'm really sick of it. We wait and puzzle over this show for so long, and
then someone blows it all for us. There's no valid excuse for doing it. None.
Here's my hope, the spoilers that have been posted are all horse sh!t, planted by Damon
and Carlton to make a fool out of the person or persons who have been violating their trust. How sweet would that be?
Okay, I've vented enough, and the Celtics game is close and almost over, so I'll see you
all on the other side.
