One of the greatest flights I have had the privilege to make ( I was lucky enough to do it twice ) was down the
Hudson River VFR corridor. This flight started at Clarion County PA , went by Orange County NY, over to the Hudson River
just north of the Tapanzee Bridge, then down the river, around the Statue of Liberty, and back up again. What an experience!
The thrill of flying at less than 900 feet above such things as the George Washington Bridge, the USS Intrepid is unbelievable. At
that altitude you were only half way up The World Trade Center, looking into its windows as you pass by. Both flights were
in a Piper Cherokee. The picture does not do it justice, as the WTC looks so far away, but I am telling you, it
was right there in your face.
