Willie T & Doctor X
rock/folk/blues artists

From the depths of the murky netherworld that is the Boston music scene, Willie T & Doctor X emerge as a breath of fresh air, and a welcome antidote to the angry thrash din that that tends to dominate the Boston sound. They've cut their teeth on the club and college circuit throughout the Northeastern United States, dishing out their distinctive brand of pop/folk and rhythm & blues. Willie T's deep, resonant, vocal style and masterful self-accompaniment on acoustic and electric guitars is backed by the soulful blues harmonica, and gutsy vocals of Doctor X. Their musical influences are wide ranging--from Beatles and Stones to Ron Eliott and John Martin, Ry Cooder and Mark Knopfler to Bonnie Raitt, Leon Redbone meets Little Walter, and all the way to Warren Zevon! Their recordings capture on disc the exuberant spirit and drive so typical of their live performances. This is really fun, listenable music that makes you feel glad to be alive!
