The New Castle Soapbox Derby is looking forward
to its 5th year of racing and has changed the local race date to June 19, 2004
The Speed Channels telecast of the 2003 Soap
Box Derby coverage will air on Saturday October 11 at 6:00pm EST and on Friday October 17 at 5:00pm EST.
The History Channel telecast will air on Saturday October
18 on the program Shifting Gears air time is not known as of yet
Monthly meetings will now be held the 1st
Thursday of each month at the New Honda City beginning at 6:30 PM. The next meeting is Thursday November 13th
March 30 : We will be meeting 4/1 4/15 and
4/29. To plan the rally and finalize plans for the local race scheduled for June 19. At New Honda City on State st New Castle
. Also need help to sell T-Shirt & Banner Advertisement
We are interested in purchasing any cars that
you or someone else does not plan to enter in this years local race. Please contact Bob Gallaher,Brian Boyd, Jim McMillin

Impotant Dates
May 20th--Last day for reduced registration fees. Local race planning
meeting 6:30 pm at the New Honda City.
Pre registration is $30
After 5-20-04-Registration is $35
There will be a $5 reduction for each additional child registered
June 3--Mandatory Drivers meeting. 2004 local race rules will be dscussed.
All drivers must attend. 6:30 pm New Honda City.
June 17--Weigh in and technical inspection. Cars will be impounded until
race day June19.

Remember: You must have left handed nuts installed on all turnbuckles
for both Stock and Super Stock Cars. The Association will have some available at the above listed meetings. We also have cockpit
foam and (6) new helmets available for purchase
