The Project Linus Mission
Project Linus is comprised of hundreds of local chapters and thousands of volunteers across the United States.
Each volunteer and local chapter all work together to help us achieve our mission statement, which states:
First, it is our mission to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who
are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created
by volunteer “blanketeers.”
Second, it is our mission to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals
and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.
Together we have distributed over two million blankets to children in need since our inception
in 1995.
Donation Guidelines

Headquarters to retain 20% of all donations collected at the chapter level to be used at the discretion of the Board of Directors

by PLHQ. Funds are used in part for the following expenses which support chapters:

How Can I Help?
Contact your local chapter. The coordinator can tell
you how you
can help Project Linus in your area.
Make a blanket and donate it to your local chapter
of Project Linus.
They will take it to a facility where it will be given to a deserving child, permanently.
Get your community involved.
Scouts, schools, religious organizations, senior centers, sewing guilds, and craft shops are all excellent places
to find potential blanketeers.
Tell them about Project Linus!
