Camp Dragonfly, Lion Brand and Facebook
Saturday I provided a new camp with blankets and quilts.  Camp Dragonfly is for children that have had a heart or lung transplant.  The children are all from CHOP.  The camp is a week long and being held on the Eastern Shore in MD.

I signed up for the Lion Brand stitch along this summer, I hope you will also.

I am on Facebook and I also have a page for Project Linus.  Send me a friend request.

Happy stitching!

New Blog

Hi everyone, I thought I would start a blog, not sure how it will go, but I will give it a shot.

I am currently working on a new newsletter that should be done in the next week or so.

I completed my quarterly report for the 2nd quarter, the Philadelphia chapter received 586 blankets and we delivered 664. Totals delivered since 2003 is 11,983.

My thanks to everyone who continue to support us.

Today 7/7, Prudential had a luncheon for all the recipients of the annual Volunteer grant awards. I am very fortunate that many Prudential employees and retirees help make blankets for the chapter as everyone is eligible to apply for the grants. They really help providing the funding needed to maintain the daily ongoing expenses of the chapter.

Prudential requires 40 hours per year to be eligible. If you work for a company that also provides grants, please keep the Philadelphia Chapter in mind.

Also today, I mailed 10 blankets to the TAPS program for the children of wounded soldiers returning to the states. This will be the first time, the children see their returning family members so it will be very traumatic for some.

On Thursday 7/9, the Linus group will meet at Normandy Farms Estate in Blue Bell and next Wednesday, the Linus group will be meeting at Ann's Choice in Warminister.

Janet
