Welcome Activities Boundaries How to Join Calendar	The MOMS Club® of Montgomery Village, Maryland is a group for at home mothers and their children. It is a wonderful way to meet other stay-home moms, and a fun way for your child to meet other children. Mission Our mission is to interact with each other in an accepting and supportive environment which provides opportunities to build friendships; offer educational and social activities for mothers and children; and support the local community through volunteering and fund raising. Principles That women must be free to choose their personal path to fulfillment That, for women who choose it, raising children is an important and fulfilling full-time job That a family's decision for a mother to stay at home to raise the children often involves considerable financial sacrifice That there is no one right way to raise children, but our members have a common concern in raising their children in a healthful way About Us We are a support group designed just for you, the at-home mother of today! You are interested in the world around you, want a variety of activities for you and your children, and are proud of your choice of at-home mothering for your families! We know, because we're at-home mothers, too! You need a support group that understands your special needs as an at-home mother and we're it! We are the first, largest and fastest growing support group specifically for ALL at-home mothers. Started in 2003, our chapter has over 35 members and is steadily growing. International MOMS Club Our chapter is part of the International MOMS Club®, which began in 1983 when an at-home mother in California decided she was tired of being alone at home. She wanted to meet other at-home mothers and she wanted to find other at-home children for her children to play with. When she discovered there were no other organizations that met during the day and allowed her to come with her baby and preschooler, she decided to start a brand new organization just for at-home mothers, and the International MOMS Club® was born. The chapter she started was so successful, she knew mothers in other areas must be needing the International MOMS Club, too. Soon she and other volunteers were helping mothers start International MOMS Clubs across the country and around the world! We now have over 1,800 chapters with more than 85,000 members across the United States. We also have International chapters starting too!
