Rotary Scholarships
College Level - Ambassadorial Scholarships program The Ambassadorial Scholarships program supports the mission of The Rotary Foundation to further international understanding and world peace by:
- Increasing awareness of and respect for cultural differences by sending ambassadors of goodwill to study in another country
- Instilling in scholars the Rotary ideal of Service Above Self through active participation in Rotary service projects
- Encouraging scholars to dedicate their personal and professional lives to improving the quality of life for the people of their home communities and countries
- Developing leaders who can address the humanitarian needs of the world community
- Impacting all areas of the world through a balanced geographical distribution of scholars
- Fostering a lifelong association between Rotary and its scholars
- Fostering a lifelong association between Rotary and its scholars
During the study period, scholars are expected to be outstanding ambassadors of goodwill to the people of the host country through appearances before Rotary clubs and districts, schools, civic organizations, and other forums. After study has been completed, scholars share their experiences with the people of their home countries and with the Rotarians who sponsored their scholarships.
GENERAL ELIGIBILITY Applicants must have completed at least two years of university or college course work, or must have a secondary school education and have been employed in a recognized vocation for at least two years, when the scholarship begins. All applicants must be citizens of a country in which there is a Rotary club. Initial application must be made through a local Rotary club in the applicant’s legal or permanent residence, or place of full-time study or employment. Persons with disabilities and members of Rotaract clubs are eligible and encouraged to apply.

Vineland Rotary Scholarships
The following scholarships are available from the Vineland Rotary Club.
The Deadline for applications is April 30
Harry Kejzman Memorial Scholarship ($1,000):
For high school graduates seeking higher education at Cumberland County College. For college bound students majoring in any subject. Students must attend Cumberland County College.
Harry D. Doerr Scholarships This scholarship is not restricted to college or university training, but shall also include training or schooling in non-academic fields or endeavors. Applicants and awardees may apply for additional one-year awards. Awards are made payable to the recipient and the educational provider. Doerr scholarships vary in amount, but are not usually less than $1,000.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Be a United States citizen. 5. Demonstrate financial need.
2. Be a high school graduate. 6. Demonstrate intelligence standards.
3. Be a Vineland resident. 7. Demonstrate scholastic ability.
4. Demonstrate positive character.
John Spoltre/Matt Blatt Most Inspirational Scholarship ($2,500): For college bound students majoring in any subject. Students that have overcome adversity in life should apply.
This scholarship is open to students that are Vineland residents or students graduating from any Vineland high school including St. Augustine Preparatory School and Our Lady of Mercy Academy.
Vineland Rotary High School Scholarships
Applicants shall demonstrate, by high school performance, the potential for successful college work. Scholastic standing, while important, shall be one of several factors to be considered. Applicants must have high ideals and have demonstrated integrity, purposefulness, initiative and sense of social responsibility. Employment experience will also be considered.
Reverend C. Ross Collins Memorial Scholarship ($1,500) for a student majoring in any subject. This scholarship is open to students that are Vineland residents or students graduating from any Vineland high school including St. Augustine Preparatory School and Our Lady of Mercy Academy.
Leslie N. Kotok Memorial Scholarship ($1,500)
For college bound students majoring in any subject. This scholarship is open to students that are Vineland residents or students graduating from any Vineland high school including St. Augustine Preparatory School and Our Lady of Mercy Academy.
Shaye Kotok Scholarship ($1,500):
For college bound students majoring in mathematics or science. This scholarship is open to students that are Vineland residents or students graduating from any Vineland high school including St. Augustine Preparatory School and Our Lady of Mercy Academy.
Vineland High School
William F. Dudley, Sr. Memorial Scholarship ($1,500): For a college bound student majoring in any subject.
Otto Schwabe Memorial Scholarship ($1,500): For a college bound student majoring in science or a related field.
Sacred Heart High School
Monsignor Joseph G. Stoerlein Scholarship ($1,500): For a college bound student majoring in any subject.
