Warning! These pictures are not for the faint-of-heart.  Patience, patience, patience, I can't stress it enough.

Right quarter and outer wheelhouse removed

I was lucky and found a 73 convertible parts car that had decent outer wheelhouses as well as a gold mine of other parts.

A design improvement.

I decided to try to improve Ford's design.  I added a fitting and a drain to the gutter for the convertible top.  The drain hose goes through the bottom of the outer rocker.

Quarter panel tacked in place.

Right now I have the new quarter and wheelhouse installed and I'm working on replacing the rear floors. (Under the back seat.) I will add some new pictures soon.
Next I will replace the left quarter, outer wheelhouse and the panel that's between the trunk and the top.  After that I will go after the cowl and inner fenders in the engine compartment.

I have said many times, "If this wasn't Dad's car..." but it will all be worth it when it's done.

Obviously there is much more to this than the pictures tell.  I would be more than happy to answer questions, trade lessons learned, or hear suggestions.  Feel free to send me an email.
