September '02. The first step was the disassembly...

This requires a lot of space.  Fortunately I have an attic over my garage and space in my basement.

The first thing I had to do was replace the driver's door pillar.  The doors need to be on and working to replace the inner rockers and floors.

A used piller welded in place.

The doors need to be on to make sure they still work after cutting out the old rockers and before making final welds in the new ones.

When I stripped the interior, I found rust just about everywhere: the floors, inner rockers, seat pedestals, seat frames front and back, cowl, inner fenders, trunk, left door pillar, door bottoms, and quarter panels.

Mustangs and More is a great Mustang and Ford forum. You will get answers to all of your questions and meet some really nice people.
