Next were the inner rockers and front floors.  Due to limited web space, I can only show you "Before and Afters".

The floors were in really bad shape from the firewall to the back seats.

Tip: I left the engine in place to use it as a counterweight to adjust the door gap while the inner rockers were removed.  Place jack stands under the rear axle and under the frame points near the front torque boxes.  Put the floor jack under the front cross member.

Tip 2:  Drill 5/16" holes in the floor pans and use plug welds to weld to the frame components.  It takes a lot more time to line everything up, but I prefer to use butt welds to attach the new sheet metal to the existing.  You can use lap joints but it gives moisture a place to hide and rust to start.

I also had to replace the rear torque box covers.  They had to be made at a local fab shop since new ones aren't available.

At the time rear floors weren't available. These came from the parts car.

Thanks go to the techs at Mid-County Mustang for giving me invaluable tips and advice before I started this.
