It's Starting to Go Back Together...

I decided to do the sand blasting myself.  It turned out to be much cheaper to rent the equipment, but it sure does make a mess.  Knowing now how severe the rust was, if I were to do this again, I would strip the car, sand blast it, and then begin the rust repairs.

I sealed all the seams including the welds with Brushable Seam Sealer and caulk type seam sealer from Eastwood Tools.  Afterwards I painted the entire underside and engine compartment with Chassis Black also from Eastwood Tools. http://www.eastwoodco.com

I put plastic up all around the car, but sand still got everywhere.

And now I can start putting parts back on.  It's a great turning point.  First was the new leaf springs and the factory 9" rear axle.  I added the factory rear sway bar that I found on EBay.

Next I'll start re-installing the front suspension and steering to get the caar back on all fours.
